Mont Blanc is Back, With Our Coziest Twist Yet!
Well, the sun is officially giving up for the year, and I guess we are all ready to lean into cozy mode.
You know what that means: it's the perfect time for a dessert that feels like a big, warm blanket.
With our pastry leader, Ayaka, we've been hard at work bringing back a classic, and I'm super excited to introduce
our new Mont Blanc!
We didn't just stop at the usual chestnut situation. We decided to infuse this mountain of goodness with two of her favorite comforting flavors: Hazelnut and Hojicha.
The hazelnut meringue gives the base a really lovely, nutty richness, and the hojicha—that delicious roasted Japanese green tea—lends this amazing, warm, almost caramel-like note to the cream. It's truly spectacular.
Getting the exact right balance between the nutty, the sweet, and the tea flavor took a few attempts, but we finally nailed it.
It will be available in individual size every Fridays and Saturdays or October, and larger versions only on pre-order.
We also now serve Hojicha Latte at the shop, using tea from Shizuoka in Japan, provided by our friends from Anatae.
Seriously, this is the perfect pastry to pair with your big-cozy sweater and a hot drink. It's ready for you!
