Week 15
Change is scary. When we decided last week to try time slots,
I was not convinced about their efficiency, and only thought it would just give me more work behind my laptop to organise.
On the kitchen side, nothing much changed, but for the front of house, there was a way less busy morning. Barely no line at the opening, Nawal and Kim (who came to help out this week) even managed to prepare the orders for a very efficient pick-up.
In the end, it was a very convincing system, and most of you respected their pick up time.
Little reminder : if a wait line is being created, please wait on the bench side of the shop, in order to leave the corner as clear as possible for pedestrians crossing.
Last week's "break" was a good thing (even if ultimately, it also meant less sales). In addition to catch up on some admin, it allowed us to plan 3 meetings with providers outside of the shop. I have to admit that I am excited about all 3, and I hope we can announce them soon.
But first things first.
We will be open again this Wednesday morningfor walk-ins.
This Saturday, you can get your hands on our infamous lemon and lime tart. Made with citrus marmelade and lemon creme, there will also be a lemon meringue version.
And because we have more and more viennoiseries to bake in the morning, pastries will be available for pick-up from 12:00.
Different viennoiseries will be baked for Saturday afternoon, such as the strawberry danish, a new Kouign Amaan, a Pain au raisin and more...
Pick your slot wisely and see you soon !
Reminder :
- Pre-order your treats for Saturday
(if sold-out, there will be no restock).
- Tomorrow, we will be open from 8:00 to 12:00(or sold-out).
- Saturday, make sure you come at the right time based on your time slot.
- Some products will be available on the counter for walk-ins in the afternoon.
