Week 4

Last Friday, we had to say good bye to our window's drawings.
I loved the cozy feeling that it was giving, with some Easter eggs that David hid in it (have you looked closely?).
We liked the wintery spirit that it was inspiring, even though some people mistakenly thought it was only a decoration for Christmas.
Later this week, the good people form Signshop will place our sign above the front door, and re-do the grammes logo on the windows, by hand, just like all the things we do in the shop.
We used to live above their shop in West, so it made sense for us to work with them and we are excited to see the result.

The electricity to welcome the espresso machine will also be done this week. Once this is ready, the machine will be here in no time. We are still on the hunt for a full time barista to start soon,
so spread the word, so we can finally open 4 days.
It is in everyone's best interest ;)

With the end of the galettes, it usually marks the start of a more quiet period. I say usually, because since we have opened, the quiet period were never so quiet. I just hope we will have time to work on a few things, like the new pain au raisin that will replace the najaar's one (you might have already seen it on IG), or even the special dessert for Valentine's Day, already around the corner.

In the meantime, we will offer some puff pastry based treats on the counter, that you will be able to grab from Friday. I cannot really say what they will be, as the inspiration will come based on what's available. But apple will be involved in one, that's for sure.

To finish, Nawal and myself wanted to thank you again for the support you have been showing. We are more than grateful to see new and familiar faces at the shop every day we open.
But also to everyone who takes time to share their experiences with us, good or bad, on social media and google reviews,
else we'd start to get rusty if it was not for you guys.

- Pre-order your treats for Saturday is highly recommended.
- Make sure you come at the right time based on your time slot, not earlier. But no worries if you are a bit late.
- Two lines are available : one for Pick-up on Churchill-laan, one for walk-ins on Maasstraat.
