Week 5

After more than one year with a blank above the door, we could not be happier about how the new sign is looking. Inspired by the Rivierenbuurt style and Amsterdamse School, it also matches our aesthetic. Have you seen the marble details in it ? Of course, the use of real marble above an entrance was a bit dangerous, it has been hand-painted, and the result is impressively realistic.
Our window signs got a little refreshement. The previous ones suffered a bit with the cleaning and steam from numerous bakes, now it is neat once again, and still hand painted.

You probably saw some new products over the last week. Like a pistachio escargot (which will replace the Najaars Pain au raisin from March) or even a hazelnut Kouin Amannm but it is the lime marmalade version which will come back soon. More try-outs are expected this week as well, so be ready. Valentine's Day dessert is also in the making. A few more tries and it will be ready on time for pre-orders.

Lastly, we want to let you know that the shop will be closed from Feb 21st, till March 2nd. We need a little breather, see the family back home, and we will come back as fresh and motivated as the first day. Mark your calendars, we will still remind it until the day we are closing.

We hope you guys enjoyed being able to go to bars and restaurant again, keep showing support (mostly) to the place who had to close for the past months, and we hope to see you as well !
